5 vain fears of an interview

Fear of evaluation

Often, candidates are afraid to get a label from the interviewer, that is, to be evaluated. One gets the feeling that this is exactly what you are going to do - whether you are the winner or the loser. We have been confronted with such a thing all our lives, and we should not be afraid that this assessment of the employer will remain with you forever. It is worth considering the degree of competence of the interviewer and the fact that many factors are taken into account when selecting personnel. If you do not come up for some reason, this does not mean that you are so bad. Assess the interview as a search for common ground between you and the employer. The person does not stand still, and if the employer is not satisfied with certain professional skills - remember that everything is ahead and in your hands.
Lack of confidence in the interviewer

Many applicants are afraid that they will be misjudged by the HR manager, that this company representative will not be able to correctly understand your professional qualities, and all your experience and efforts will be in vain. Of course, an HR manager cannot be a specialist in all areas. His task is to find a candidate whose qualities coincide with the principles of the company. If you feel that you are completely misunderstood, ask that you be evaluated by the head of the department in which you are counting on work. If all else fails, then be calm - it means that this is simply not the company in which you would be comfortable working.
Fear of uncomfortable questions

Some interviewers like to ask uncomfortable questions, puzzle questions, and even arrange stress interviews. All this not only causes irritation for the applicants, but also fear, because it takes them outside the comfort zone, and few people want to face this. But these are just tests of quick wits and self-mastery, which are also not so often practiced. Fear of falling into such a situation can only increase the likelihood of showing oneself not in the best direction. Do not take this as a challenge or a duel with the enemy. Be natural, this is just an element of the game that does not have critical consequences for your life.
Fear of the unknown

Unknown always scares a person. But being in a state of uncertainty is even worse. It is worth considering the interview not as a step into the abyss, but as an opportunity to find the answer. You may not know what exactly awaits you in the interview, but you can be sure that you will get an answer. In addition, the interview is often held according to the standard scheme, and with each new interview you will become more confident, and in the end this fear will go away by itself. So why not get rid of him now?
Fear of rejection

Nobody likes to get rejected, it doesn’t matter in professional activity or in personal life. But do not forget that not only the company chooses an employee, but you choose the company. The decision should be mutual, and if you get a refusal, then this is another sign that you would simply not have taken root there. You need to tune in to the fact that failure in professional life is absolutely normal. You will encounter this more than once, this is a series of trial and error that helps to grow career and mentally.
